Why should you visit Monaco?

I could find many reasons why one should visit Monaco, but here are my 3 reasons: fashion, the Royal Family, and of course food.
In fashion, they say Paris, London, Milan, and New York are where everything happens!  Nonetheless, I say Monaco is the giant fashion catwalk where people love to display their latest designer brands. As a result, all the major fashion houses are present in Monte-Carlo. If you like shopping, you will not be disappointed.
However, Monaco is much more than what you see with your eyes. The history of Monaco is filled with very saliant events in sports, culture and the political realm. However one cannot talk about Monaco without mentioning the Royal Family. The marriage of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III topped headlines throughout the world, and really put this tiny enclave on the map. When visiting, it’s impossible not to visit the Monaco palace and the amazing views over the entire Principality.  You can also admire the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, where many of the Grimaldi’s are buried, including Princess Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III.
Finally, Monaco is also the playground of Michelin-starred chefs. If like me, you are a huge fan of good food, Monaco might be a small place, but it has a concentration of Michelin starred restaurants such as the Alain Ducasse’s Louis XV at the Hôtel de Paris, the Pavyllon with Yannick Alleno at Hotel Hermitage, La Table d’Antonio Salvatore at Rampoldi’s, and the Blue Bay starring chef Marcel Ravin; just among a few of Monaco’s gastronomical places.

The cruise ship days are marked red Amber and green….green being the days when none are dropping off. On a red day there is approx. 4000 so best to avoid. We did find it quite a bit more expensive to eat and drink in Dubrovnik as you would expect in a major tourist place but there is a much wider choice of shopping. Cavtat is much more relaxed and traditional with the odd celebrity pulling up in their boats for that very reason.
